Why did I choose Hacienda del Mar?

Sadly, I inherited this property from my father who passed away in 2008. I made him visit Los Barriles in 1983 with my mom. I knew they would fall in love with the community, the beaches, and the Sea of Cortez. They loved it so much they began purchasing as much beach front property that was available. They first went in with 2 friends and built together on one lot. When they outgrew that situation, he purchased Hacienda del Mar which then was owned by one of the Bartels and James wine cooler founders. He proceeded to turn the 1,200 sq ft, 2 bedroom, 2 bath beach cottage into a 5,000 sq ft 4-bedroom 4 bath Hacienda.

He designed and contracted it himself using a forward thinking, green, recycled building product called ‘In-Steel Panels’. Extremely popular today for its earthquake strength, ER values, and it’s constructed from renewable materials. He always referred to it as ‘his work of art’ which is why I have restored it to better than its original condition updating all cabinets, granite counters, unique hardwood doors, furnishings and custom amenities.  I also added 2 new Casitas and an infinity pool with a giant spa. My sisters wanted to sell it, but I could not ‘let his work of art go’. Instead, I bought them out and now it is up to date and ready for your enjoyment.
